There are actually 2 companies that "own" A&W. Cadbury Schweppes, via it's Dallas-based Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! company, owns the rights to bottle and distribute Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! in the US. The A&W restaurant chain, however, is a separate company, owned by Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! brands (formerly TriCon, franchisors of Pizza Hut, KFC, Taco Bell, and Long John Silvers).

In minnesota here we have alot of taco bells kfc and all that other stuff but we only have a couple a&w's but we still have an a&w Drive in in Cannon Fall's
