On July 7, 1926 the Gregorowicz's obtained a license to bottle soda from the Department of Agriculture. The couple took that license and moved from Wilburton, Pa to Catawissa, Pa and purchased a creamery, which also served as their residence. Big Ben's sodas soon grew in popularity due to the variety of flavors the company offered: orange soda, lemon soda, birch beer, root beer, lime cloud, lemon sour, cream soda, strawberry, ginger ale, grape, cherry, sarsaparilla, white birch beer, orangeade, raspberry, teaberry, lemonade, uffri cola, celery cola, grape and their famous blue birch which is exclusive to Catawissa Bottling. In earlier years Catawissa Bottling Works had various contracts with Hall's Root Beer, Spiffy Cola, Squirt and Ma's Soft Drinks. In 1945 Catawissa Bottling first started producing the well known Moxie soda. Big Ben's and Moxie are still made in the very same location to this day.
