I think it's a HUGE (and incorrect) assumption that the "greatest root beer ever" is available in New England. That said, I'm sure you can find some pretty good ones there... I'd suggest Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! in upstate New York, but you can probably find that in a grocery store near you... Since Jon recently tried several brands from this area, maybe he can suggest a few...

I would agree with Kevin and suggest Saranac. It's definitely the best one I've tried from New York and New England. FYI: The Amherst is not, to my knowledge, bottled. Good Luck.
