Great Sprecher Root Beer Floatilla

Sprecher Brewery of Glendale, Wisconsin, celebrates National Root Beer Float Day, August 6, with an attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the World’s Largest Root Beer Float Drive-Thru with "The Great Sprecher Root Beer Floatilla," an annual event.

The Floatilla will run from noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday, at the brewery at 701 W. Glendale Ave. Sprecher says its equipped with enough fire-brewed root beer and Cedar Crest ice cream (both made with local ingredients) to serve up thousands of floats. The floats are free, but attendees are encouraged to donate to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin by texting FLOAT to 41444.

Sprecher is known for it's delicious root beer sodas, including the original Sprecher root beer (made with Wisconsin honey), Sprecher Maple root beer (made with Wisconsin maple syrup), Sprecher Lo-Cal root beer, and Sprecher Zero root beer.
