I would like to know what the best steps/way to sanitize Cornelius kegs. What I have done is:

1. Rinse the kegs 1/4 full with hot water, swishing water out about 2 to 3 times.
2. Fill up with hot water and let it sit for a few minutes before dispensing through the line halfway down and pouring out the remaining water.
3. Add One-Step Sanitize and fill up with warm water. Close the keg, and let it sit for 2 minutes before dispensing through the line halfway down and pouring out the remaining water.

Based on my experience with sanitize equipments for beer, I've learned my lesson when I thought I had sanitized everything properly after it turn out bad. I'd like to learn what is the best/proper way to sanitize kegs for Root Beer.
