Is there a difference between root beer extract and root beer concentrate? I can only find the concentrate at the local grocery store, and the recipe I have calls for extract. Can I substitute one for the other, and if so, what is the conversion ratio? Thanks.

Extract has no sweetener and I am guessing that the concentrate does, but you can easily confirm this by reading the labeled ingredients. You should follow manufacturer directions instead of a "recipe."
